Alyssa started Bactrim on Wednesday night for a cough she's been struggling with for awhile now. Friday night she coughed so hard she puked, within an hour of taking the bactrim. I figured that she might not have had enough to eat with it and have been making sure she gets it with food and water since. Now there is no more vomiting, but today she has a rash around her mouth and chin. I don't think its anywhere else. She hasn't eaten anything different than normal -- though we did switch from vitamax to sourceCF vitamins this week. I'd find it odd if its a bactrim allergy since she's been on it before and we've been pushing the bactrim through her feeding tube, so wouldn't the rash be somewhere else??
I'm not sure what to do. Its not an awful rash, but its clearly there and atypical for her, she has no known allergies at all.
Any thoughts?
