Before I was put on the BC pill, my periods were irregular, didn't come for months at a time, and I always attributed that to the poor development we all experience, like low weight, height, etc. I mean, for me, it took me forever to get my first period, and I still haven't grown any real sized breasts lol. (And I don't come from a family of tiny chests either, they're all normal, except me lol.) But I did learn in one of my classes that delayed maturation/development alters puberty and everything thereafter. So if you're not gaining weight and getting enough vitamins, nutrients, etc., you're not developing "normally" so once you hit puberty, it'll be a little off. Even though not having your period is great, I always hated when it surprised me. I like being on the pill a lot, because it regulated my period, and it only lasts like 4 days max, with very little bleeding and no cramps. If you're not happy with the way your period is, go see your GYN, and talk about getting on the pill. But if you do go on it, and you are sexually active, remember that antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of the pill. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I sound like a mom...
