I just wanted you all to be aware of how meds affect you and discuss with your doctor other options and let him/her know what is going on. The point of my post was not to bash Levaquin. I have had side effects from other drugs as well. I just probably will look for an alternative to this one the next time around or watch the side effects a little closer. All meds come with a certain amount of risk and reward.

I took Avelox for 18 months with small amounts of time off in between courses before having the tendon problems. I also had a problem with caffeine while on these abs. It made me excessively jittery...not in the hands shaking way, but in the I'm going to jump out of my skin way.
Unfortunately, nothing I have been on since the tendon issue ruled out the quinolones has made me feel better the way avelox did.

When I'm on Levaqinn, I have TERRIBLE insomnia and my joints ache (usually my wrists and ankles).
