Looking for suggestions for a portable nebulizer

Thanks to you both! I didn't know you could use an adapter with the Pari Pro neb ultra- that's what I have. I will check into that- then I wouldn't have to take 2 compressors with me when I traveled, and would have a backup too.

I will check on the amperage needed and see if I can do that. I have fried an (non medical) air compressor before that way (not to mention the electrical system in my car!!!!) with something that was <i>supposed </i>to work in the cigarrette lighter, so I am, needless to say, a little leery until I know all the facts! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

get a power inverter, it takes the 12 volt DC voltage from the cigarette lighter and turns it into the 110 volt AC voltage that a regular household plug uses, a 200 watt one would be sufficant for a nebulizer and then you can just use your regular compresser to do nebs in the car, they cost only about 30 -40 bucks for the smaller ones (the small ones would probably get you by with the nebulizer, mine uses about 140 watts)

I am with Robert321 on this one. I have an inverter for my car so I can do my teatments on the way to work and sleep an extra hour each morning (LOVE technology!). Any way. I got mine from Target and it was about $40 and I got the 600 watt one because I was unsure of what I needed. Well worth the cost since my insurance refused to pay for a portable neb since my regular one worked fine. Only thing with the inverter is it is not supposed to be used with compressors which is what the neb is so it takes a few tries for it to work for me. But I have never not been able to use it in the car. I just turn it off for a few minutes and let it sit then turn it on again. Just play with it. Thats my thought!!
