Hi all. Katherine Maria was born on December 8th! 8lbs, 6oz and 21 inches! She is doing great, but not so much me. The baby blues are not helping me get through this waiting period. Our CF doc called the VT dept of health a few weeks ago and requested that her newborn screen results get called in to him directly and immediately - so we will probably hear the news tomorrow or tuesday.
If it comes back positive, doc will check for the mutations since we know what they are. if he finds two than no need for sweat test, we know she has cf. if he finds one, he will do a sweat test just to make sure. and if the NBS comes back negative, he will do sweat test just to make sure.
UGH. not looking forward to it, but also need to know either way.
