Had to get one 5 years ago after I had my tx but I have never wore it due to it not only being ugly but it is too big and falls off my wrist... (ya I know I should get it resized but oh well)

I think I might just get the medi alert symbol tattooed on the inside of my wrist that way no matter what happens (unless of course my arm is severed) it shouldn't be missed!

This may be a stupid question but why is one needed? How would we be treated differently in the hospital?

I do not have CFRD and am only on prednisone (which I have noted in my wallet). I have thought about getting the bracelet but was interested to know why it is needed.
