i do both bf and formula feeding. sometimes DS doesnt seem like hes getting enough from the boob, so i wind up giving him formula afterwards.

i actually was just ok'd to bf by the CF clinic, because when DS was in NICU for the first 4 weeks of life, they basically told me that I HAD to supplement by adding formula and rice cereal for calories and thickness to my breast milk pumped- finally, my current clinic said i could BF... I decided to stop pumping though and give him formula if he's still hungry or if someone else is going to feed him. As long as he's getting some breastmilk, I feel better. DS doesn't seem to mind either way- I still have to give him extra calories though, so when giving him enzymes, I've been using baby apple sauce mixed with rice cereal and some formula- and also when administering his zantac and vitamins, because he will NOT take them alone and sometimes he wont finish his entire bottle, so that is my only way to know he's getting all the meds he's supposed to get <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
