My daughter had FESS, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy this past Monday. We were told that her Sinus CT showed her sinuses were impacted by old sinus infections and that they needed to be cleaned out. After the sinus surgery the surgeon told us there was no old infection just Nasal Polyps. She told us that they are caused by allergies.

My daughter has been tested for allergies with blood work and scratch tests. Her bloodwork shows low normal IGE level and <.1 on all tested allergies with .3 to .6 being unknown clinical significance and .6 and up being an allergy. Are there any unusual allergies she should be tested for?

Do any of you have you have nasal polyps and no allergies? If so what causes the polyps?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you
