We use the germ guardian after each use but in the hospital here at AI they have gave my son so far 10 nebulizer cups 4 masks, they are good about that here... They believe in sterile and safe nebb cups....I thought all hospitals gave more then one.....childrens hospital in alabama was the same way 3 neb cups a day...joe dimaggio childrens hospital in south florida was great about it too..I would fight that and make then give you one neb cup per med.....I hope you can get those...

I sterilize it by rinsing with hot water, then rinsing with alcohol and setting it on a paper towel to dry. |</end quote></div>

Just to clarify, bacteria such as PA, MRSA and cepacia won't be killed with a simple alcohol rinse. Nebs need to sit in alcohol for at least 10 minutes for bacteria to be killed.

AMy,
I was curious how you feel about the germ guardian? We wash and boil the neb parts before letting them dry. But with two kids doing 2 different nebs, keeping all the parts sorted and sterile gets a little hard to manage . It seems that it would be a good way to keep everything clean and orderly at the same time.

For those of you who use them, where did you purchase yours?
