U should replace them every 6 months even if you clean them. Their efficiancy is no longer there. They are not very expensive and I know Pari will send you a new one every 6 months. Hope this helps

After you've been in the hospital or home IV's you should change them no matter how recent it was that you had replaced them. If you have the acorn type, the kind many hospitals use, the disposable type. They can not be boiled or they will warp. We don't use those very often, only in an emergency, so I can't tell you how long those are good for.
