My son has cultured Pseudo for years now,.. I think the start of it was when he was about 1 or 2 yrs old. He is now 9, and yes, the pseudo is still there, among every other thing under the sun that he can possibly have! I have lost count of how many times he has been put on Cipro, Bactrum, He is on a permanent 28 days on, and 28 days off cycle of TOBI(which he hates, because thats just one more thing for him to have to do everyday) I have also lost track of how many times he has been admitted to the hospital, and spent weeks, to almost a month at a time there. But,...All of this is just part of life with CF. Your son may get rid of the pseudo, which I hope that he does, or he may not. even if he doesn't, its just another bump in the road. And even though you are doing everything in your power that you can to keep him from being any sicker, it happens. Just do your best, which I'm sure you are, and stay positive. I've been there, I'm still there! Its a very, very, very, long, hard and emotional road to travel, but you will get through it, and he will too . I try think more positively about the hospital visits, and IV antibiotics. My son calls them "Tune Ups" , Anyway, I wish you the best, If you ever need to talk or vent just send me a message, I'm here.
