mel just because you don't agree with my political views, does that give you the right to delete my post?

i never saw that political views were banned on this site.

i think it's a legitimate concern that the government thinks it knows best, as opposed to each individual making a decision.

i'd appreciate you explaining why you deleted my post

I have NO IDEA what you are referring to. I didnt delete anything.

If something was deleted I didnt even get to view it so I dont know why it was. I was having problems with the site earlier so its possible that it didnt even post.

Either way I will look into it and get back to you tho!

I've heard from my doctor that theoretically the vaccine won't prevent the flu unless everyone has had it, including those travelling through NY.

He also said that France practices the same mandation for the fle vaccines, under their socialized health plan, of course.

Just to look at this from another angle...everyone seems to think that mandating healthcare workers to get the swine flu vaccine is an infringement of their rights, and it may be. But, what about our rights as patients? Doesn't any CFer, cancer/chemo patient, or any other immuno-suppressed person in the hospital deserve to be cared for without fear of their caretakers carrying H1N1?? Ultimately it is still the healthcare workers choice whether or not they get the swine flu shot, they won't go to jail if they don't, but they will be banned from being in close proximity with high-risk patients for whom the H1N1 virus could be severe or even fatal. From a patient's point of view it doesn't seem like a bad thing.
