This is the most common recipe I've seen when I've done an internet search for homemade recipes for sinus irrigation solutions:
1 pint water
1 heaping tsp of canning salt
1?2 tsp of baking soda
I don't use baking soda in mine though- for some reason, it's irritating to my skin (???).
And I use filtered, boiled water with mine, and add the salt while it is still hot, so it dissolves quickly and well. Store it in a glass container in the 'fridge, and (again, from what I've read the most) use it within a week. Hope that helps .
