My 9 year old has good understanding about germs and transmission as well as my daughter with CF. USe it as a teachable moment? Difficult situation -- feel so bad for the SC -- imagine she doesn't feel all that great and probably just wants to stay at home, but probably also wants to see her dad. Poor girl probably isn't going to feel like doing much except sleeping, watching tv.

I will say that in the past DS has been much healthier than DH and myself when we've picked up bugs -- last winter I had bronchitis, several colds and DH despite being vaccinated caught the German Measles and he had a stomach bug --- and last year at preschool when his friends got rotavirus, etc. he was fine. This is after he drank from our glasses and I awoke from a nap to find DS laying on my head kissing me. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
