people who use cf to make money

Don't offer to take down the site because other people (myself included) question it and/or don't like it. The only situation in which you should take down the site is if you're full of garbage. If you're not, leave it.

But don't let other people coerce you into doing something if you don't want to.

My only real suggestion to you, if you're sincere, would be to more carefully word yourself so that this kind of crap doesn't happen again. People don't just make sh*t up to get on your case. There's a lot of stuff floating around that made people wonder. Try to eliminate that stuff (i.e. choose vocabulary more carefully and make sure you know what you're talking about inside and out before you tell lots of strangers about it), and your problem is solved.

I do understand that my form of communication was off. But it was emails I never posted anything on the site that wasn't in my understanding true. I never claimed to know everything about cf, because I don't. I claimed to know a great deal about exercise and nutrition, which is what I really was more stoked on than trying to help myslef. I haven't made any money so don't be so worried. I never cut and pasted, I used to work at a nutriional store and spend all my time working out so they are my own words. I spent my entire adult life without real care and I thought maybe I had something of value to offer. That dedication to exercise could help. I think maybe many of the negatives are focoused on me asking for help. I will work to change the site to make it more clear. But please keep in mind, I was throwing up one minute before i made that video. I never claimed to be a proffesional. I never asked people with cf to donate to me. So please understand my life with cf is different than what many of you are used to. Routines and soforth. If it were up to me, I would be at work and not stressing out over the fact that I'm worried about my health. I don't hate anyone on here for calling me names or anything it's fine and I did most of the site being sick and tired. So I can see how you may interpret it.

Okay all, I chatted with Jason for quite a while and also spoke with him on the phone. This is bascially it: While some may find it hard to believe, or I guess hard to undertand, this is a kid (24 years old) that has been in denail for quite a while and thought he was stronger than CF because he was doing so amazingly well especially considering he was not getting hardly any medical attention for it. Now lack of medical attention has taken it's toll on him and he feels helpless. He is sick and needs to be in the hospital. He prob has pseduo if not something more. He had it when he was in 8th grade and was treated for it. And now with not treating his diabetes he is rapidly decliining. He has suffered a few rejections in life, applied for SSI, been denied, waiting appeal and even the Calif insurance, but said he did not fill out all of the needed documents. So yeah he is somewhat at fault here, but that does not even matter right now. What does, is that he needs medical attention and feels he can't get it because he has no money or insurance. He has called about getting seen at the CF clinic but was told he will need a referral beacuse of how long it has been since he was there, okay, that sounds just about right with the way our healthcare system is set up. Then it will prob take him 2 mos to be seen. What I suggested he do is go to the Emergency Room and tell them he is having trouble breathing, passing out and fever and chills, he said his chest has rattles and wet coughing, so I would hope they would admit him and get him in the system, and i'm sure is sugars are all out of wack too. I told him they can't deny him medical care because he does not have insurance, and once he is at the hosp he should ask to speak to socail worker and get help. Worse case senerio, they deny him for medicaid or state insurance, which i don't think will happen, and he will get a bill for it, but it's not like they can beat the money out of him.

He said he is really depressed after reading everything today and I told him he needs to stay away from the computer and not think about all of us bad people and that when he gets settled into the hospital he is going to call me. I hope things work out doing them this way. He really is very fragile, and he realized that rasiing money to help others with CF fitness and education is not a good ideal right now, until he takes care of his health. The whole thought behind his fitness pitch came before he started feeling so sick. He could use help now. I've told him there is plenty of people on this site that would help if they see he is helping himself. I'm sure there r plenty of people on here that would be willling to do something for him. I told him once I kown he has gone to the hosp and I call there and can ask for him and get connected to his room I would let others know and I plan on sending him a package with whatever he needs. And I told him this site is a good place to learn about CF once he gets his health addressed.

So keep Jason in your thoughts that he will follow through with this plan and that they he is able to get the medical attention he needs. I have no reason to doubt him anymore. WHile i still can't fully undestand how he got to this point, and it was easy for me to blame him for his own demise, I can not blame him for I have not been in his situation, and I can only hope that he finally finds the strength and medical help he needs and then maybe other things will fall in place for him.. As strong as we sometimes can think we are, it is personal battles that we sometimes make bigger than what they r. I think medical help has been there for him all along but he just couldn't see it until after being second guessed by all of us, that it did do some good and made him realize that he has to get medical help no matter what it takes and not to take no for an anwser or feel like he has to have insurance.

I am responding to Bethie's post of 1/05/07 at 9:48 PM
One of the problems I am having with this chat room is the reationary aspect. For example, clearly, Bethie, I did not call you a lier. I just wanted more information about your call to Jason's doctor's office. I hope you will re-read my actual words, and accept my apology.
