people who use cf to make money

I am responding to Bethie's post of 1/05/07 at 9:48 PM
One of the problems I am having with this chat room is the reationary aspect. For example, clearly, Bethie, I did not call you a lier. I just wanted more information about your call to Jason's doctor's office. I hope you will re-read my actual words, and accept my apology.

Jason,

I would like to suggest that you step away from this chat room drama. The people that get that you are sick and need help have already gotten that. The others, that don't get it, will try to crucify you no matter how much info you give them. If you continue to put yourself under their microscope, for THEIR scrutiny, it's a no win situation. It's like trying to get water from a rock. By the same token, as long as you react to the nay-Sayers you are giving them more fuel for their fires.

You don't have to prove anything to anyone. That your illness has been confirmed by Dr. Kraut's office should be enough. That you've been denied health insurance should be enough. That you've been denied disability benefits, and have a lawyer working on an appeal for you, should be enough, already.

Be grateful for the people on this chat forum who have expressed loving kindness towards you.

Focus on your healing, the people who love and support you, and continue to ask the universe for what you need and deserve.

If anyone in this chat room has some real help to offer you, (including advice, suggestions or donations,) they can do that through your web site.

Also when you do get a doctor (which the best idea would be to go to the ER and have them check you in) usually the CF clinics have free almost trial like meds out there that they give to the patients with no insurance. It's basically the same meds we use but maybe only a 2 weeks supply so you'd have to go back all the time to get more. Also, if you contact your local CF chapter they should be able to put you in touch with a social worker and they will get you medical insurance...it's their job, use them. haha.

Also, I'm sorry if in fact I hurt you in anyway with my posts...I have doubted you but my post wasnt nearly as offensive as some. I'm still not sure if I trust you...that does not mean I dont believe you have CF...I've stated that before. But I am willing to help you in any way I can.

good stuff then. getting help with applying for assistance is far better than asking for donations. first reason, people just dont know for sure if the person is genuine, second, donations wont last forever and can only cover so much. best that something more permanent and stable is found.
