Mari - Hopefully the nausea will ease up soon. I hear ya on the dry heaving. I still do it occasionally to this day - only in the morning though. A coughing attack will trigger it. Though I did dry heave from heartburn a few weeks ago. Zantac has solved the heartburn lately.
Jen - Get in to see a chiro ASAP. Mine does webster and she said she gets lots of women like 38 weeks along wanting her to do webster and she says sometimes it can take a few treatments so she likes to see them as early as possible in pregnancy. I started seeing her around 26 weeks or so (I think). Baby was breech at that point (though that wasn't the reason I started seeing her) and turned around 30 weeks but I attribute her turning due to lots of walking I did in Disneyland. But good job for trying alternative methods! Have you been to spinningbabies.com? Hope you don't have to have a c/s. That is my biggest childbirth related fear. I heard second hand there is only 1 OB in my area that will do breech deliveries. They just aren't trained in it anymore. And malpractice insurance companies get a BIG say too.
Leah - I'm surprised at how good I feel too. I mean the asthma sucks and it is hard to bend over but other than that I am going to miss this. This will be our last child and I'm pretty bummed. I want to meet this baby but at the same time I don't want it to end. I remember mourning the pregnancy after I had my son. I really had to go through a grieving process.
I'm pretty excited about childbirth too. I was a little nervous till I had a dream the other night that I pulled her out myself and she came out smiling while Josh and Logan looked on. There was no pain. It gave me such renewed confidence in my body that "I can do this!". My midwife said she loves to hear dreams like that because it signals that the mother is taking on some responsibility for her birth rather than looking to her caretakers to do it for her or tell her what to do. When I had my son I looked to the doctor and nurses to tell me what to do and how to do it. But I've been on a sort of self discovery in the 3.5 years since my son was born and realize that I want to do this myself. I want the midwife there for support and some guidance but this is MY job.
Ack. I can't believe I'm going to have a baby soon.. for some reason she still seems kind of abstract.
