I can't believe someone would even hint that the working shouldn't have to help. Not all people that are recieving your help are people that aren't working. FYI---I am a single mother & I have worked a second job just to pay for my daughters CF care, that's not counting the unpaid FMLA that I have to take when she's sick or the cost of the gas to drive to a clinic thats 50 minutes a way but I can't get help because I work & "make too much money" if more people were able to help over here we might not have people who can't afford medical at all regardless of their problems. I am more than willing to let my dollars go toward the people who need help medically because I know that one day I might be there & i don't have CF much less my daughter being there when im not around & needing something. could you imagine the people out there with CF that don't get help-=-they go without thus shortening thier years all because the "working class" shouldnt have to help them out because they CANT work, not because they dont WANT to, come on, are you kidding me. I hope when the day comes that you can't work the people who are paying your medical bills are much more gracious about helping the "lower" class
im not at all voting for socialized medicine either--like others i just want a health system that takes in to account that not all people are able to afford the cost that goes along with having a medical condition, much less one that you can not control, one that you can do nothing about.
