as bad as i HATE to be negative i have to say the endowment program from pulmozyme sucks....they just dont understand that yes we make a lot but we are 27 and have a lot of bills.....and all of a sudden this year 2 of our kiddos were diag w/ cf so we have tons of med/presc copays.....just for pulm they want us to pay 600.00 per month....i have tried and tried and it just seems as people look at me as an idiot...i have all the other copays too and the trips we have to make to the cf center is an hour away....wow....drug companies in the us are not cool....i even told them i just needed help till jan....they flat out denied us

That is terrible. Yeah, they always look at the bottom line of how much we make , but they don't take into consideration the amount of drugs, prescription and over the counter, more doctor visits, etc. I'm so sorry that happened to you. You would think they would help you out just a for a little while instead of flat out denying you. :-(

we are lucky in the uk. we ALL have "free" drugs and health care . it's not perfect but i wouldn't want it any other way.
the remark by the previous poster along the lines of "why should middle and upper classes pay for others" well that in my opion is very selfish and smacks of "i'm alright jack , pull the ladder up!!!!!!!" i agreee with emily on this subject and in the uk it is NEVER called socialised medicine. the national health is a big part of life in the uk. i'm proud of it.
