Hi hope you can advise me. My four year old has had pseudo twice once when she was four months old and again just before her 4th birthday. Right now we have been doing cough swabs at her gps as we have huge issues with the hospital and her care. By this I mean the cross infection issues or lack of it! From the most simple things like basic hand washing to busy clinics with no seperation rules and children in close contact playing with the same toys etc.
She had her 1st admission in the summer anyway now cough swabs have come back clear each time from gps. We really want to change clinics but we have heard they are no different in here in the uk. What we would like is to have the basics like cough swabs at her gps and not go to the hospital clinic unless we really have to. They are saying that we cannot do this.
I know I posted a similar topic before but maybe was not clear in what I was trying to say.
Have any of you refused to go to hospital clinics and unless you have to? If so what was your outcome.?
The thing is we want to give her a chance and just feel each time we take her there we come back and she is always ill.
The pseudo thing has really upset me as I have heard it shortens her life?
I am really scared of this coming back but know I need to be prepared...If it does come back how does it effect your day to day life? I am sorry to ask this but are you always sick when you have this?
I worry myself sick about this. I am so so scared for her. In your opionion am I worrying not over nothing but taking it out of context. I cannot talk to my team about this as I do not have a good relationship with them due to me complaining about there basic hygiene standards.
She is due to start school next year and I worry so much she won't be able to do all the things others can.
I am sorry to impose all my worrys on you but feel you might be able to give me an insight into what life is going to be like for us.
Thanks for reading my post x
