Pulmozyme

I did pulmozyme for about a year and I did notice a difference, but HTS works much better for me, so I quit the pulmozyme. I know that a lot of people really like it though. I hope it works for you and you get back on your feet soon.

I've never felt that Pulmozyme has done anything for me. Johns Hopkins let me stop using it, but Vanderbilt insists I continue using it every day.

Are there any side affects like Tobi has; or precautions that I should be aware of?</end quote>

Yeah, the sticker shock of how much it costs!!

I can't tolerate Tobi at all, but pulmozyme is no problem for me. I too can tell if I miss a treatment, I wouldn't even consider being without it. I'm kind of shocked that your doc has not ordered it before now.

Good luck, hope it works for you.

I've been on it for about, let's see- 15 years or so now (I was in the study too ), and I did have a couple of bouts of streaking during the study. If I do have streaking/bleeding, that is one of the things I go off of for 24 hours, along with my vest and HS. That is really the only thing I can think of at the moment.

I can tell too if I miss a dose (I am on it twice a day). I think it's great! I've also been known to snort a few puffs of a dose in my nose too, or inhale through my mouth and out my nose during my pulmozyme neb- sometimes it helps if I'm chronically stuffy, lol. (Btw, I'm doing mine now too )
