Going braless will stretch you muscles that help "hole" or support your breasts, some of the sports bras may be a better choice for you--but I wouldn"t recommend going w/o...

Make sure you are wearing the correct sized bra. I think that can make a world of difference. I think most department stores and Victoria's Secret will measure your rib cage and cup size (Agent Provocateur and other high end stores will for sure) to make sure you are buying the right size.

I'm waiting to try this new backless one:

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.maidenform.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=71471
">http://www.maidenform.com/cata...t.jsp?productId=71471
</a>

But for now, I stick to wireless sports bras (unless it's a short, special occasion thing where I need a particular "good" bra), and for days when I am just hanging around (lol) the house, I have some of the stretchy tank top bras like these (these aren't mine, but look very similar- mine are microfiber, but I can't find them on the internet at the moment):

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5645734
">http://www.walmart.com/catalog...do?product_id=5645734
</a>

They are also good for being in the hospital, as they are comfy to sleep in, have no metal hooks, etc. (x-rays <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ) and you either step into them or pull them over your head- no hooks to fool with with an IV or picc .

I have some pullover/step into (full length) camisole bras that I can get away with wearing in public when my ribcage is feeling uncomfortable (I also have mild scoliosis, and a chronic tendon issue near the bottom my sternum <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0"> ), but I don't think they make them anymore <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> . I believe it was made by Nancy Ganz, but I cut out the tags on mine <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0"> (you might still find it somewhere like Ross or TJ Maxx).

I hate bra shopping. (Oh, I usually wear a 36 DD or a 36 or 34DDD, all depending on the particular bra <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0"> ).
