If I decide to go, I'll share just as I did the first time

WAS 1 hour daily at 70/ 80 % settings given to him by his regular cf center or was that Dr Warwicks? Iam assuming Warwicks having read the article in Saks blog.If so what was your regular cf centers instruction for vest time? I was instructed by our cf center in Pheonix to do 1/2 hour sessions at 50 % 2x daily. I started damien off by doing just that. I now of course give him hour vests at night and 1 more 1/2 hour in early afternoon. Anyway 50 % ? It is to low isnt it? I tried 60 % just to see how he reacted and he did fine but ,I felt maybe I should double check at clinic to see if there would be a problem with upping the settings. I really feel I should just up it a little? Why do you suppose I was told to use it 1/2 hour 2x when the person who made the damn thing says 1 hour no less than 45 min? Why such a low setting? I guess I will ask next week at clinic. Also Damien did an infant pulmonary test <fev.5 > at 1 year old and we will be doing another Feb 7 ! I anticipate that doing the vest will have improved his numbers!

I can across your comments about the pressure to use with the InCourage system.

For frequencies I recommend the "Quick Start" I prefer using the ramp from 14 to 6 and back to 14. because most small patients like that better than 5 to 14 to 5. Also I recommend stooping the the Quick /Start after each cycle for ab out half a minute so the patients to cough.

For pressure; I recommend the highest pressure the patient can tolerate.

For regular day treatment I recommend a 1/2 hour treatment twice a day for regular and a one hour treatment three times a day when a lung infection has developed and until the pulmonary function returns to the before level.

Wow - a rock star in our midst! Dr Warwick, I read the bell curve article when my daughter was first diagnosed 2 years ago and it, along with this website has shaped the way I approach her health - thank you!
We got the InCourage vest in Sept and are very happy with it. When we first got it she complained about any pressure more than 40% but we worked our way up to 80% and she tolerates it well.
