Did you ever get a copy of the radiologist's report on your CT Scans? Explaining the supposed cavity, etc. Might be a good idea to see what his/her take was on the scan.</end quote></div>

No I didn't, but next time I go ill ask for a copy of the scans. What was weird was the scan seemed extremely fast. Last time I remember gettin a CT it took a bit, and I moved up and down a bit. This was super ass fast and i didn't move hardly at all.

my first thought was the same as miesl's - what supplements do you take and could any of them be the culprit? I know it's frustrating but I think there are still a few things you can troubleshoot with. You said you take a few that could be blood thinners - why not try eliminating them, one at a time for a period of time, and see what happens. Like Lauren said too, keep a journal and document your bleeds while you experiment. It may be one or two things, or a combination of things - who knows? That is the frustrating part. But I wouldn't go completely off all supplements at once, because even if you do stop bleeding, how will you know which one was the culprit? On the other hand, if you stop all of them and then the bleeds stop, I suppose you could just start adding them back in one at a time and monitor yourself. My worry with stopping them all at once is that your body has become accustomed to them and they obviously offer you benefits - I don't know much about supplements, but my thinking is that it is hard enough on the body to stop taking one medication it depends on (like you noticed with stopping the pulmozyme) and stopping several all at once seems quite drastic.

Anyway, sorry to ramble on. I know it is frustrating and realistically it may take a while to troubleshoot all the possibilities. But the important thing to remember is that there ARE other possibilities to test - you are not a giver-upper (like that new word? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">). It's okay to be pissed off about this. Use that anger to keep pushing on in your investigation. Think of these persistent bleeds as if they were a hard to apprehend criminal. Would let that criminal just get away? Yellowstone is a great place to take a vacation - one which you must return from and tell us all about!!

I completely understand the frame of mind you are in because i have been there myself more than once. After my first embolization i thought i was "safe" from future bleeds and within 2 days of being home i wound up right back in the hospital with another bleed. Then a month and a half later another i had another large bleed and my second embolization. I thought there was some conspiracy going on within my body trying to terrorize me. I would steer clear of every single thing you can imagine that might trigger a bleed. The fish oil caps would be where i'd start, along with the garlic and any anti-inflammatories , ibuprofen etc . Also green tea is also a bad thing ( not sure if you drink that). Weight lifting may be contributing to your bleeding as well if you are lifting heavy weights. Just imagine the strain that puts on the offending area that bled previously and is trying to heal, but is being rushed with blood with each lifting session. Do you go in places that have smoke in them? I avoid restaurants that arent all smoke free or at least have a completely separate room for non smokers that is free of all smoke. I read about people having problems with Pulmozyme and bleeding, yet when i go in the hospital for hemoptysis they put me on Pulmozyme twice a day versus just once per day. You mentioned using hypertonic saline and pulmozyme? Maybe doing the two is just too muich irritation for your lungs? Has this bleeding started geting worse over time after starting the hypertonic saline along with the pulmozyme? Anything inhaled is an irritant to the lungs especially lungs that tend to bleed. Do you wear cologne? Does your Girlfriend wear perfume? I am allergic to both and cannot be around either. Candles, airfreshners etc. could also be a culprit if you have any in the house. I am trying to think of anything i can throw out there for you that might be a culprit because i know how unbelievably frustrating it is to go thru what you are going thru. I also have a cavity in my left lung and no clue how it got there. It has a fungus ball residing in it and i have not a clue how that got there either. You're not alone Sean, and your thoughts arent as far out as you might think. Its natural to want a way out of a mess we cant seem to figure out. But going to Yellowstone National Park and ending it all, is not an option.

OOPS i forgot to mention....Have you ever tried L-Lysine? L-Lysine has helped me with my bleeds. You may want to give that a try........... I take 1000mg 3 times a day. If i am having a lot of streaking or hemoptysis i take 1000mg. 4 times a day.
