Repossess My Vest

I have never heard of HillRom asking to send a vest back.... I have always heard that they would never do that no matter what, so I am disappointed in them for doing that

They billed my insurance company the same way they did Mels, they treated it like a rental till it was paid for..

Good luck... Don't send it back they can work something out.

Hill-Rom has done the same to me. I have had CF for years now. They called this week and said that my vest system has to go back. I am so mad! They have the RX for it. I said to them (what am I going to to with out it?? Just let my lungs to to pot???)

Have you tryed SmartVest systmes? Thats what I going to try next.

There are other ways to do CPT. If you don't have money for the vest, maybe you can ask your doctor about other options.

I don't know how hillrom usually operates, but they'll probably sell your debt to a collection agency. If they have lawyers on staff, they may just take you to court themselves. When they get a judgement against you, they can repossess the vest, garnish your wages, freeze your assets, take money from your bank account, and/or destroy your credit. Also, they'll take additional money for the cost of taking you to court and lawyer fees, etc.

Depending on the circumstances, they may also persue criminal charges against you for grand larceny. That's a felony.

In other words, it's not a wise idea to flip them off. Maybe you can work something out with Hillrom, like some people said. Personally, I feel like the vest is a total waste of maney, since there are things like autogenic drainage which is just as effective and its 100% free.
