Republicans & Healthcare

Mockingbird, no I'm not assuming you are healthy. I was referring to other voters. I certainly hope you are doing well. I do respect your opinion. I just think the healthcare costs have gotten out of control and something more needs to be done to control costs. I am not working right now and my hubbie is carrying the load. I am very thankful for that. I don't know how some people do on their own<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> By the way, your sign-off is one of my favorite scriptures and I also like your website. My best to you.

haven't red the other replies but i just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

socialized medicine is horrendous. it's economics 101 that you must have an incentive system for products to be produce efficiently. the government controlling healthcare removes this incentive system (this is why communism doesn't work - where the government is in charge).

talk to our friends overseas. they don't have the Vest. they don't have access to full panel genetic tests. they have lower life expectancies.

the free market works every time it's tried. i realize things aren't perfect as they are, but they're better than they would be if we had socialized medicine. incentives for drug development would decrease substantially and that's the opposite of what we CFers need right now.

i'm going to leave it at that as I really don't have the time to go on a back and forth debate. so if you reply to my post please don't expect a reply back from me.

I do think we will get a new healthcare system or at least an overhaul of our exsisting one, with the new president, whom ever it will be, unless John McCain is elected, he will spend all his time dealing with IRAQ. As a republican, I think the next president elected is going to be a democrat. Our society blames George the REPUBLICAN on everything, because of his 8 years in office. So america wants a change, just like when Clinton was in for 8 years, that is the only way George was elected, plus he was running against a cardboard politician Gore....Plus the majority of the media attention is given to the democrat race right now.

all I can finish with, is I just hope america is not stupid enough to put Hillary in as president. If McCain is running againt Obama, I will be voting Obama, and he will make change, he has the least number of years that he does not feel loyal to big companies.
