Restarting Pulmozyme and BLEEDING

Hey Everyone,
I am prone to bleeding, it comes and goes as it pleases. Well I re-started Pulmozyme and BAM! I'm bleeding again.
Does this happen to others? It seems like Pulmo. aggrivates something in my chest. Since I'm prone to bleeding it's not scary but should I back off and wait awhile before my next dose of Pulmo.
I'm going to skip my vest tonight just to give my lungs a break.
It's just so frustrating because I went to the gym & had a good workout. Then came home and walked/jogged a mile on my treadmill. Then this evening, I started bleeding.
Any suggestions? Does this happen to others, if so, what do you do?
I am going on vacation on March 1st and I want to feel as good as possible and I don't like feeling like this. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

I would think it could cause bleeding. If you have a mucous plug near the outer wall of your of your lung and it breaks loose from the pulmozyme you are going to bleed. Did you by any chance do any saline in the neb? That can irritate your lungs anc cause bleeding. When I get a bleed I usually skip the next neb and vest tx, just so I don't start bleeding again. Don't forget to take vit K.

pulmozyme makes me bleed as well, I restarted last august, and had to stop 2 months later because of it. I didn't outright bleeders just streaking, but it was nearly every day. After a few weeks it was nearly completly gone.

Thanks for your input guys. I appreciate it. I called the hosp. tonight just to leave a message but they forward the calls to a live person (something new). I told her I was bleeding and she freaked. I told her I'd just call in the a.m. when I could speak to someone. She wanted to page a dr but what can they do at night, nothing, and I'm not driving an hour to the hosp. to literally be 'looked' at.
I will call in the a.m.

Depending on if I am on iv's, how long or bad the bleeds are depends on how long I am off and once I do go back on if I have any problems or not. I dont usually have a problem once I start them again. We seem to wait until things calm down long enough. Its very frustrating. I hated not being able to use my Pulmozyme. It was so much harder to get stuff up. I felt sicker just from the thickness of the sputum.

I have hemoptysis 1-2x a year I will have to keep this in mind next time, Ihad never heard about the link - is it documented anywhere or just experience?

Also why vitamin K and how much?

The one time I had hemoptysis they had me stop pulmozyme, and the vest for a few days. I did light chest clapping, but didn't force coughs.
