Ok, everyone, I am a relatively healthy 25 year old male, participated in college cross country and track, and kept training after college, continuing to get better and better at all my distances. I guess we could start last summer, I started getting sores in my mouth and sinus problems. I went to an ENT and was eventually diagnosed with sinusitis. I've had antibiotics over time, but these seem to keep coming back. I lost a lot of training time and got really out of shape. In the past few weeks, I had been training hard, building my base back up when just this Friday I started feeling ill once again. I was all tired, my sinuses were all congested, ugly greenish yellow discharge from my nose in the morning(has since gone away), neck glands swollen, and it seems my saliva is always kind of thick and slimy, although usually clear. What worries me also is that I have pretty regular abdominal pains, both sides of my body often hurt even worse when on some runs. I guess my breathing's been normal, I mean, I've had issues with not being able to breathe my best when running hard and stuff like that, but I'm not really coughing or struggling to breathe, so I'm not sure. Am I overreacting? Initially I was scared maybe I had gotten an STD because of these things and fatigue, but I have always practice safe sexual practices in the past, and I happened to look up mucus like saliva and bowel movements and CF came up. I'm really scared, I also have had anxiety issues, so maybe I am overreacting. I really hope I am. From what I read this seems like a terrible disease, and I hope God blesses everyone that has it and someday soon there's a cure. But does it sound like I could have it, or does it sound like something less severe. I tried to taste my sweat while I was on a run and it didn't taste extremely salty or anything, so I dunno what to think..
thanks and take care everyone
