Okay, Monkey's Dad,

First, in the insert that comes with Pari nebs, look in the section for "Nebulizer treatment". It says..."continue steps until the medication is gone OR you hear a sputtering."

Second, Under search on the Forum page, put in CFRI Conference Updated. Posted by Julie, who attended the Conference and took notes, she discusses that the medication left is the "Dead Volume."
Someone had posted even more details on the Dr's lecture, but I'd have to look around further. Or you can PM Julie if you need more info.

Your machine is fine. You might have to change the Neb to the LC Plus. If you stop treatment when the neb starts sputtering, and not tap it, tilt it, etc. your son will still get the full dosage and you will be much happier.

Problem solved!

are you doing the HTS while you do the vest? i find this to be the most effective for me personally but my doc has also said this is a good idea and that way you're doing 2 treatments at the same time....i do the vest for 30 mins
2-3 times a day depending on what my schedule looks like....

I have to say that i have seen an amazing difference since being on HTS for the last 6 years. it is so helpful! I get premixed 7% vials from the cf pharmacy....

Excellent Nightwriter!

Thanks so much for your follow through. I will poke around at the things that you've mentioned. I am also going to look into the PARI LC Plus. If it can cut down on the time, then I want one for Ryan.

Best wishes to you Nightwriter.

HI Jaimers,

Thanks for your note. Yes, we have been doing his morning HS and vest treatment at the same time, so that helps.

We are going to have him do his HS as soon as he gets home from school and regular vest and pulmozyme in later in the evening so kind of break things out. Of course, if he is in the mood to do them all right after school, then we'll do that.

You have a great attitude about CF...looking forward to trying to instill The Moneky with the same great attitude as he gets older!

Thanks again.
