Call me stupid, but I just shower, especially if i am not accessed. Even when i was in the Hospital last month, using the port, I simply showered. The tegaderm makes me itchy, so I used something else, sorry I can't remember the name. I change the dressing after. My port is in my chest, it is my second the other was on the other side, I don't even think about it anymore, except when i need it, way better then the picc. Good luck

Is there a reason you can't deaccess it? Its not really that hard to access, and there's absolutely no reason you can access it yourself. If its deaccessed, there's nothing different about showering with it than without it. If its accessed and can't be deaccessed, I'd probably put tegraderm over it and shower quickly then change the dressing if necessary afterward.
We access our hemophiliac son twice a week and never leave it accessed in between infusions. Within the next couple of years, he'll learn to access it himself and do that until he's ready to learn venous access and eventually have the port removed, which is what is always the goal for hemophiliacs.
When they first put his port in, we had to leave it accessed for a week as he was getting infusions every 12 hours. We just did a bath instead of shower for that week and everything was fine. But, he was 6 so that might not be a reasonable option for an adult wanting a shower.
