And I don't have any magic words to help, but just know we can certainly all relate to the frustration you're feeling. It is extremely overwhelming to lose ground that you've gained. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I would think that a port or Picc would be better than all those peripherals, those suckers hurt worse for me. Sure you have to go through the initial procedure, but it is about the same as what you just went through to get your midline. Didn't they give you lidocaine or something for pain management?

I too just got done with cipro and am on IV's now so I feel for you and I did not have previous IV's, you are a trooper for sure. I too always got my PICCs placed by the ultrasoudn group and wouldnt have it any other way, my group is always real friendly but it is still intimidating, I think the idea of taking something beforehand sounds great!

Well none of this helps you now (my rambling) but I hope you feel perked up soon.

PS the book Mans search for meaning is great for these times and I heard "A New Earth" is very great too, its on my list.
