Sleeping in at the Hospital??

Hey There!
I just joined and came across this topic. Im on my 2nd wk of IVs in the hospital right now and I totally understand the not being able to sleep in. Everytime the doctors say "Well if you stay, you'll be able to get some rest" I wanna laugh in their face! I dont think they really know. When I first came in they were crazy buggin. Now that Im comin to the end they have actually gotten better. Depending on the nurse they dont like to wake me up <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Ive gotten to sleep in till 10 and take naps every chance I get <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I LOVE IT!!

One of my big things is when your day isnt really over until 1am. and then it starts all over again at 4am. Theirs only ONE lady that can hook me up and unhook me from meds without me knowing it. I wish they would keep the same nurse with you until they arent workin. I hate havin tons of nurses. I can never remember all their names-I can remember the face but not the name lol. Anyways thats kinda off the sleep thing, but... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Ya the hospital is like the last place anyone is going to get sleep. I'm in it right now. I am able to get a little better sleep right now cuz before they started my meds we asked them if they could do them at 11pm 7am and 3pm that works way better cuz then i can sleep from 11 til 7 cuz they just get my vidals at 11 when they do the med. just be sure u ask the doctor when u first get there cuz they will put it in the orders

I looked at this post title and out loud said "Yeah right!" This is the worst place to try and get sleep. They are always coming in-- I would get so tired I just wanted to yell at them to leave my son alone and let him sleep!!
