I have to say I completely agree with Sheridan. I have the same situation with both my mom and AJ's dad's mom. They just air out their house a few hours before we come over. When AJ was younger (same with my infant who doesn't have CF) we would use his blankets and do a lot outside. He would also hang out in my brother or sister's rooms where no one smokes. It's a tough decision but although he is ruff in general with his CF he hs never had any problems. Also we don't go a lot (only a few times a year now that we live in another state) if we never visited all heck would break loose but like I said it was never often. And going outside is always a good idea because indoor air is usually worse then outdoor air anyway. Just my personal experience. People need to understand that when we bring our CFers into their homes they need to accomodate to them or they can't come at all!!!!

I remember reading an article once about what is left behind on clothing, furniture, etc. even after the actual smoking has occurred. The chemicals, etc. can be a huge iritant for anyone, especially CFers.
