There have been some interesting points made here and they have made me, for one, think a little deeper about the issue. Seana I really don't feel anyone is directing this at you or putting you or anyone else down - that's not the way I read it anyway. Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it!) I cannot understand first hand what you CF parents go through as we are unable to have children, but I do know that if we did have, we would raise them with the best intentions and belief that everything we do improves their long term health and happiness - as I am sure you will be doing. I feel the point of this post was to suggest that there is a balance between independence and wrapping kids up in cotton wool. I think its a delicate balance though and how you achieve this is obviously very personal to you. Good health to all <img src="">
