I just have to say, with all the PIO you're taking, period spotting is very unlikely. That amount of progesterone would likely stop a tanker truck of a period from showing up ontime and yours isn't due for another week. I'm going to bet it is implantation bleeding. I have to be optimistic! Honestly, some people bleed for months and baby is just fine. I'm still holding out hope for you.

Did you call the RE? I would! There's nothing they can do but reassure you at this point. It's too early to do a beta or an u/s. Even with twins, 8dp3dt my HCG level was only 17. So it's totally possible everything is normal. Another thought, are you doing progesterone suppositories? Sometimes they can irritate the cervix and cause bleeding too. Is it red or brown blood?

Hey Tara, Kelly, Julie, Lou Lou and Megan,

It's been a few days since I posted, I suppose I've been trying to concentrate on work to stop myself brooding about the prospects for Wednesday. Also we had the distraction of a national election here, and I was doing some work on that.

Kelly you may have been jealous of my (slightly) sore boobs but now I am very jealous of your spotting - I agree that it sounds like implantation spotting. Here's hoping. Today (after a bad dream last night that involved hospitals, blood tests and a negative outcome) I'm feeling a bit like my period is coming but I know from reading of others' experiences that it may not be significant and dreams can really mess with your head.

Tara, there was a little extra for drugs (about $500, as the government here subsidises the cost of drugs) so yes it does seem to work out a lot cheaper here - one of the very, very few things that is cheaper in Ireland than America believe me! My brother lives in North Carolina, so I have visited the US several times and the cost of living there is much, much cheaper than Ireland, food, houses, cars - but I know that's no consolation when you had to pay out $15,000 for your cycle!

Enjoy Canada and if you ever do decide to come to Ireland (it's great though I probably haven't done a very good PR job in talking about how expensive it can be!) be sure to let me know so we can meet up.

Anyway I am testing at home on Wednesday with a follow-up blood test on Thursday morning at my clinic. So hopefully by Thurs afternoon I'll know definitively. So Kelly you'll know before me!

Will keep in touch over the next few anxious days, thanks to all for the support,

Elizab

I feel so defeated and them some..

My RE upped my progesterone (by injection) from 1cc once a day to 2cc (once in the morning one at night)

At this point he said all we can do is wait but I am loosing hope. It was bright blood when I wiped just a few mins ago. I feel so defeated.

Ok, I don't want to say I told you so, BUT

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

I'm so thrilled for you. Hang in there. I think you had a low dose HCG trigger (sub-q) that was supposed to leave your system quicker than the standard dose (14 days) right? I doubt it would show up on a home pg test today. So I'm going to say what I've been saying all along, you ARE pregnant until your RE says otherwise.

Hang in there! Wednesday is around the corner!!!

My DH and I woke up this morning at 3:30AM I couldn't sleep so we got up and I did my treatment. We then got dressed and headed straight to the lab at the hospital. At 5 am labs were drawn and to pass the hour we went to Mcdonalds for breakfast and then walked around WAlmart.

WE got back to hear: Congrats my hcg is 92 at 10dp3dt (they want anything over 20~)

So now the waiting again begins to see if it doubles on Friday. I am cautiously optimistic at this point waiting .....

I still am in shock,
