kelly those are really good eggs to transfer. Just to give you some hope, only 4 of mine made it to fertilization, then the day of the transfer only 3 had made it overnight, and then the next day they called us to tell us the one they wanted to freeze didnt' make it. So we had the 2 in me, and it seemed like everything against our IVF actually working (I don't think you were on this site back then, but the military was telling me I couldn't get pregnant, the day of the retrieval they couldn't get sperm from Mark.... and a few other fairly large road blocks presented themselves), and I ended up with 3. so there is hope!

Are you doing the pineapple?

Hi Tara, Julie and Kelly,

My embryos were an 8 cell and a 6 cell - I'm not sure if they mentioned grades. Hopefully they're not infected and have a chance of making it! Kelly they sound like top of the class embryos, best of luck.

I'm due to test on the 30th. DH has been great but being waited on hand and foot is not my specialty....

Talk to you soon,

Elizab

I don't know what I would do without all of you!

Julie, do you remember what grades your embryos were (funny to say embryos when in all actuality they are kids now).. and yes doing the pineapple!

Elizab: We both get betas the same day! I am due to get one on May 30th as well!

Wow I can't believe we are now in the dreaded two week wait! Did the ones who went through all this have any tell tale signs they were pregnant during that time?

I remember having super sore boobs. I don't remember when that started, but I attributed it during the 2ww to the PIO shots. Progesterone will give you sore boobs as well. But by the time I had my beta (11 days past 3 day transfer) my boobs were still really sore, and I met a gal going through the same cycle time as me, and her boobs weren't as sore. Come to find out a year later when I saw her in the grocery store, she wasn't pg at the time either. But symptoms vary from person to person.

Before my beta I SWORE up and down I was getting my period. I felt kinda crampy like I was getting period cramps and I was convinced it didn't work. I remember sitting at dinner on day 10 past transfer just crying because it didn't work. but then we got the shock of our lives when we found out we were indeed pregnant.

I've heard period symptoms are common when you actually are pregnant. Also the sore boobs are an indicator as well. For me it actually got worse and more sore for several weeks during the pregnancy. Other than those symptoms, I didn't have anything to tell me I was pregnant, other than the beta.

Just remember, you are pregnant until the RE tells you otherwise. Hang in there! Honestly it helped me to have a full time job and deadlines to keep. I just kept very busy during my 2ww. There was nothing else to do! So have fun this holiday weekend!

No pregnancy signs for me, I was so disappointed and so sure that I wasn't pregnant. My OHSS did get worse and worse over the week or so period, but I was so uncomfortable from that, that I wans't remembering my research that OHSS usually worsens IF you are pregnant.

I didn't have much morning sickness either. My boobs didn't hurt until later on. I don't remember what grade my embryo's were, but I do remember they were right in the middle of the high quality/low quality spectrum. Not awful, but not the best grade either.

Keep up all the good work and keep us posted.

Ok so am I just freaking out or do I have a case!

I am so good at never missing a treatment. In the past 19 years I have only missed one treatment in my life. Well, I am starting to worry if doing my vest during this two week wait could make it so the embryo(s) don't implant. So I have asked my mom to come to our home each morning and at night to give me hand therapy. Am I freaking out too much?? What did you all do?

Thanks Tara and Julie,

I think you're both right - you could drive yourself mad trying to figure out pregnancy / period symptoms. Am determined to try not to do that - though of course yesterday I thought my boobs were a bit sore....

Tara, I too am keeping busy - I work full time - but not too busy - was due to do a very long and busy extra shift covering an election count (I'm a radio producer) here on Fri and Sat but my doc advised against it.

Kelly - great that we're testing on the same day - though as I said before because of the infection I am not too hopeful for this cycle. But everything crossed that we might both be lucky!

RE using the vest - I don't use one - though obviously I do chest clearance - and my inclination would be to continue as normal - after all it wouldn't do you any good to discover afterwards that you're chest had detiorated - especially if the cycle is successful.

Anyway will keep in touch over the next few days. I'm not the world's most patient person so I reckon the waiting will get tougher as the days go on....

Hey Kelly,

I honestly don't think the vest will inhibit implantation. I wasn't on the vest during my IVF. I didn't get it until the twins were 18 months old. I wasn't big on airway clearance, still not big on airway clearance! But now I do my vest 3x a day to prove a point, I don't think it works for me! But I'm humoring the docs anyway. I can see where I may have had the same fears though. I though standing to shower was going to make the embies fall out. I think when you go through infertility as long as I did, (for me it was 26 months, and some people even longer bless their hearts) I didn't want to do anything to inhibit implantation. I was going to get pregnant if I had to stand on my head. LOL!

Take it easy during these two weeks. You deserve it after all you've been through waiting for IVF and all. Hang in there! May 30 is right around the corner.
