Tami's (Izemmom) Emily in Hospital

Gosh, this is so hard! I wish we could do something in person. They need casserole's --something they can heat up in micro, they need people to "spell" them to just get some fresh air. I feel so bad for them! We are all worrying about them, thanks for letting us know Mary! Poor Em! What a little trooper! Tell Tami we are praying for them. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Sorry to hear of your daughter's hospitalization! I know it is hard. I feel for you. Hang in there. Hopefully she will be out soon! I will be thinking of you and your family and praying for you.

Spent most of the day with Tami and Emily. I doubt if they will be going home today. Emily is retaining a large amout of fluid in her abdoment and lower extremities. They gave her Lasix this morning, but it didn't have enough of an effect. There was no noticeable reduction in the swelling. They are measuring her output and while last night it was zero, today there was some output, but not enough. She has not had much if any nutrition staying in that cute little body since last Thursday so she is lethargic. She was perking up when I left and eating some scrambled eggs - they are trying to get some protein in her body to get her systems some energy to start working well.

Tami, we are still praying for your family and hoping little Emily will get better soon. Wish there was something more that I could do to help you. Thank goodness for your friend Mary and I'm sure others that are gathering around and supporting you.

Mary, how is Tammy and Emily doing today? Has Emily's output increased? Do they have a definite diagnosis for c-diff? I am thinking of them every day, let them know. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

They came home last night. Tami hopefully will have time to give you a more complete and more accurate update. My understanding is that they are to wait until Friday and if her distention and fluid retention isn't improving then "plan B". I'm not sure what plan B is. Thanks for all the good karma everyone, Tami and I really appreciate it.
