Oh, they quoted me @ $6,500. I don't actually have any information of that stuff, yet. I only was given a packet on IUI and Clomid.

All ultrasounds, bloodwork, and any other possible scans are paid for by my Capital Blue Cross.

However, you could have something there. Wyomissing is a VERY RICH area of Pennsylvania. You can't even find a home for under $250,000.

Honestly, we are willing to try the IUI, but as of now, not the IVF. That may change, but all I can do is take one step at a time.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Good luck with whatever you choose to do. I am of the camp to do some IUIs before IVF. It is definitely possible that the only thing holding you back is the thick CM. Thick CM would mean that you would never have even an ectopic pg since no sperm would ever get through! Are there other fertility clinics in your area that you could call and get quoted a price?

As for fertility meds, I found a website called fertilitymeds.com and they seem to have pretty good prices. They have a price sheet on their website w/ most of the meds they carry so its easy to compare to other places. I'm taking Prometrium this cycle starting tomorrow (3 days after O) to help lengthen my luteal phase and that website had the cheapest price. The local pharmacies in town ranged from $92 - 120 for 30 pills. Fertilitymeds was a little more than $80. A 30 day supply, which would last me 2 cycles if I didn't get pregnant this cycle is 90 pills. So it ads up fast!! My docs office did manage to round up 2 days worth of samples so that helps. I'm crossing my fingers that once I get pregnant my insurance will pick up the tab since I'll have to stay on it through the first trimester. My doc isn't an RE but the local top RE works next door to them and my doc's nurse used the be the nurse in the RE clinic for a long time so she knows what she's doing (makes me feel good).

Caroline,

I am TOTALLY AS LOW TECH AS POSSIBLE. I want IUI. I'm only agreeing to Clomid to increases my chances + hopefully save money. Hey, they didn't give me a script for the Clomid, yet...They said that I have to go on Day 3 of my next cycle for bloodwork and u/s (ultrasound). At that time, I have to get the script and fill it immediately. I think it's crap!

BTW: NICOLE AND ANYONE INTERESTED...

THAT WEBSITE YOU GAVE ME IS TURNING UP SOME PRETTY INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT REPRODUCTIVE SCIENCE INSTITUTE. SOMEONE WHO WAS A FORMER PATIENT WILL BE PMING LATER...IT DIDN'T SOUND LIKE IT WAS GOOD. PLUS, SHE KNOWS OTHERS...THIS COULD GET VERY INTERESTING...

I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED! I HAVE TO GO! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

The online pharmacy will ship overnight. You should call your local pharmacies to get the prices of clomid so you at least know where to go locally. If the online price is way cheaper then you could always ask to get your script earlier or have them call it into the pharmacy the day before.

I hope you get some info on the place - its not sounding good!
