Caroline,

No it's not. They were suppose to be #1 in PA. Guess not???

I can't wait to talk to this girl. With our closing August 30th, I'm not upset if we wait 1 cycle. It buys me time to dig up stuff.

BTW: I DID OV ON DAY 22. BOY, WAS THAT LATE...

Jenny-yes that website is awesome, it really got me through tough times with IF stuff and I STILL chat on their with parents of children same as age as mine and there is alocal board for my docs & becuase we all love them so much so now there are two boards, one for those cycling or in between and a 2nd for those of us 'graduates' and I have met a few of these local ladies in person and we are 'real' friends now. I cant say enough good about it. I wish you were closer so you could go to my docs.

I chatted with someone from my work thta just did a IUI with my docs and she said that she always did 3 of everything. So 3 is typical if you are ready to move on or 5 is 'exhaustive' and if it doesn twork probably wont type of thing from what we gathered comparing notes. With her first kid she did 3 IUI's with clomid then plan was to do 3IUI's with the injectable drugs but her frirst one worked, then she woudl have moved on to IVF. The advantage of using clomid is its cheap and easy the disadvantage can be that for some it causes cervix problems and may not make as good or as big an egg as you can get with injectables.

I woudl insist on meds first and get them through a reputable pharmacy ahead of time, we have a website in MI that you can put in the name of a drug and it will tell you the prices of all pharmacies in MI in its database, wonder if PA has that?

I spoke last night with the former patient of Reproductive Science Institute...

Her name is Lauren, and she is 42-years-old...

Her basic issue with RSI was that they didn't monitor enough. Her follicles weren't very good due to her age, and her husband's sperm was not quite too good either. They put her on all kinds of ovulation meds and triggers but didn't do the proper amount of monitoring that was needed. She said that they are VERY COOKIE CUTTER. THEY DON'T USE ENOUGH INDIVIDUAL TESTING. THEY TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME, AND NOT EVERYONE IS. She now goes to Cooper in NJ and is pregnant by IVF on the first try.

She did say that the amount of IVF's that they want to do is low. She also said that they don't have a good success rate with IVF, including her. They basically are trying to up their IVF numbers. She had a couple IUI's before the IVF that failed...

SO THAT IS HER TAKE...

I also spoke with another lady who has had 3 IUI's with them. 1 chemical pregnancy, 1 miscarriage, 1 success which is now. However, she is 44-years-old.

I spoke with a third lady (28-years-old) who had 3 IUI's and got pregnant and delivered her daughter with the last one.

I think for IUI's they are SAFE SO FAR. GETTING IVF FROM THEM WOULD MOST LIKELY BE A MISTAKE, BUT HOPEFULLY, IT WON'T COME TO THAT!!! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

Upon my own research and help from the IVF forum, there really aren't too many in PA, yet alone any real good ones. Many people that live in Philly go over to NJ to Cooper which is ranked to be one of the best in the nation. They have patients worldwide. Plus, their prices are cheaper than RSI. However, it is about 2 to 2.5 hours each way for us. There is NO WAY Jake would be able to get their quickly without calling off work all the time.

We are thinking about trying the IUI at RSI, but it that fails........No idea...
