I love Private practice but I did not like tonights showing of the CF/Cepacia. They should of did a little more research before that airing.

Where was the infection control???? Never did see a mask or gown on any doctor

I was thinking the same thing. I'm always glad when a show does a CF story, even if it was a little cheesey, but the show was really ruined for me, when once again Hollywood shoved homosexuality down my throat on another show.

I watched it....it was a bit far fetched. I am thinking a family of 3 with CF would have a good CF care center to go to that was well-educated in CF care....maybe not. I liked it when the docs themselves were running the sensitivity tests. I know it was research for them; but, I don't know any of us who have had our own docs run our sensitivities. In fact, most of our cultures are shipped out of town<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Wouldn't it be great if some cancer doc out there could just have a light bulb turn on and come up with a cure for B.Cepacia without any CF research and limited knowledge....I could go for that.

I do like that a primetime show may have brought some limited awareness about CF.....that is not usually a bad thing. I also think that they did a fairly good job of portrayinng the heartache of this dam disease.

I second that, michelle. The fact that none of the kids nor the father didn't wear a mask at all and they were in a hospital was a bad portrayal of cf life. The writers really should have done more research of cf life to demonstrate such an intriguing story line.
