I've been in your shoes. I had to make the decision whether to sacrifice my lungs or my hearing. I chose my hearing. My doctor is now extremely careful about how high of a dose he puts me on for the meds that are ototoxic.

As you may remember, I got hearing aids about 4 months ago and they made a HUGE difference for me. I had lost so much hearing that I was missing out on conversation. It was affecting my work, my social life and even my marriage because I was missing so much of what was being said.

Unfortunately, insurance didn't cover the hearing aids (most don't) but the cost was WELL WORTH IT. I can hear again.
