Confidentiality concerns - vertex is asking all participants to sign a non-disclosure. I'm not sure why they're doing it, but it's not unheard of in the drug development world. It may have something to do with Vertex being a publicly traded corporation - not wanting study results to get mixed up with stock prices. Or it may be that Vertex (or the lead researchers) decided this would be the best way to keep results pure. Either way, it's best to just respect the decision I guess.
</end quote></div>

Understandable. Any time someone tries to keep something under wraps, it makes me suspicious! lol

Interesting about the Miglustat. Was the benefit for CF related to digestion?

Excuse my ignorance here, I have not studied VX-770 much, but I assume that VX-770 is in pill form vs. inhaled? It also will be a "take for the rest of your life" deal?

Hi

yes, Piper you're right, apparently the reason for the confidentiality is because Vertex is a publicly listed company (our researcher told me that was what she was told)...so, I reckon we should all *ahem* buy shares in Vertex <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

With regards to your question Landy, yes the vertex drug is a pill, twice a day...can you believe that, how great will that be...yes, whole of life thing.

I've never heard of this Mugla...whatever...what is it? Sounds fantastic...
