WAXING

I was thinking of doing waxing instead of just shaving to get through the whole trip without growth on the cruise.....

My concern is that much like us being sensitive to the sun....that I will have a major reaction etc. I am not talking the typical irritation that comes, but a severe issue.

Has a anyone waxed & if so what antibiotics or other meds you feel would make a difference?

Obviously everyone is different so I will experiment long before the cruise, but am still interested in feedback.

I wax my eyebrows, I shave everywhere else.
I'm not sure how your skin will be, but I'd start waxing now to make sure your skin is used to it before the cruise. In high school, one of my teachers waxed 'down there' and she had a horrible rash & couldn't wear a swimsuit! Ruined the vacation. Don't let that happen to you. Just be careful of any abx you're on in the sun, take sunscreen and have a GREAT TIME!!!!

A friend of ours once had his back waxed by his then wife, who was a beautician prior to a cruise. He had a horrible reaction and broke out. So you may want to try it ahead of time, so see if it's do-able.

If you haven't done it before ever, I would HIGHLY recommend not trying out something new before the cruise. Even if every person here says "sure I do it, no problems"... every person is different and you still might have a rash/irritation/etc, and you really don't want to ruin your vacation!
