what are you supposed to be doing

If your list of to-do's today included:

"Connect to my virtual community to share some understanding and get support"

then you are at the right place and I commend you for sheduling your time so well!

Otherwise, what are you REALLY supposed to be doing right this minute? Whether it's work, laundry (okay, that's clearly work, too) or studying, I'm guessing that most of us are stealing time away from our designated tasks.

I'll start:

I'm supposed to be working, specifically compiling our January month end reports.

I cracked up when I read this. I tend to do a task then check in (no chatting) then do another task & check in. Then around 11ish I watch my show, chat & eat then go back to doing a task & checking in. I am now on my way to put a load of laundry in.....thanks for asking LOL!

HAHAHA I love this thread. I am always aware of the little voice in the back of my head that says "Get off the computer...you should be _______________." Today, I am lucky to have a rare day at home with my girls. We are just lounging between breakfast and pt. So, there is nothing that I HAVE to do at the moment, but a million things I should do. Right now, I should be clearing off the table after breakfast and probably dealing with some of the paper piles that are taking over my kitchen...but, I"m going to finish checking the forums for new posts, respond to allies' and jenn's blogs, then play with the girls until its' time to do Emily's treatment.

Thanks for the smile!

I'm trying not to strangle my boss. All week long he's been asking me where papers, files, plats, applications are that I put on his desk or personally handed him days, weeks, months ago. There's a black hole in his office 'cuz everything he touches disappears and then he sighs and asks me three zillion times where things are. And then my coworker and I turn our offices upside down, then hit his and he finally finds the info.

He's a packrat and today has decided to clean out his in basket, which entails throwing it all on my desk and asking me to file it. He hasn't done this since July and some of the filing is JUNK MAIL!!! Yep, he saves everything. There are documents in the filing cabinet that are OLDER than me and I'm 40! Why in the WORLD do we need to save an invitation to a conference on pavement management from last August. Especially since we don't have anything to DO with paving. Argh!

Okay, I feel much better!

I love this topic! We got off to an early start today, 6:30 the kids heads pop up. I've gotten them all fed, dressed, washed. My weekly housecleaning is already done and Ainsley's vest is done. Luckily today is a PD day for Payton so I don't have to run out the door to drop him off or pick him up. Laundry's in the washer and it's only 10:30, today is a really good day. Do any of you guys ever feel like there just isn't enough hours in the day left for you to take a minute and relax?

One other thing, if any of you do have spare time, think about volunteering for your local CF chapter. The need is great, I just became a "member at large" on our board and am astonished at the lack of great help there is.
