Thank you all for the encouragement. I am currently enrolled to take 2 classes online and 1 at the college so that Marahsyn isn't so culture shocked with the change.
As for taking nursing to prevent her disease, I know that is not possible and would not expect it to change her. I love my kids but I need so me time too and I know that if I get away for even an hour a day, I will be less stressed and a better parent.
I did actually start my degree before she was born and I talked with my hubby and he and my mom are gonna pick up the slack.
For those of you who are going back to school, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK and let me know your progress too.

My son was diagnosed almost 4 years ago. I've been a SAHM since '00 (when my dd was born). I've known for awhile that I wanted to go to school (not just for myself, but for my kids too!!!!!) When Ethan was diagnosed, I decided to put any kind of schooling on hold. Now that he's a little older, after careful consideration, I'm in my third semester of school (doing pre-req's for nursing), with a 4.0, still plenty of time to spend with my kids (yes, a LITTLE less, but I still make the time. I do most of my homework when dd is at school). I love doing this...and again...this is for my kids too. I want them to see that if you your mind to something you want...YOU CAN DO IT! I don't think I'm neglecting my family in any way or being selfish. If anyone knows me, they know my kids come FIRST and foremost! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK!
