My goal is to breastfeed, only b/c I think that is the natural way and it is best for my body and the babys body. I think you can still bond with your baby the same as if you don't breastfeed. If I absolutely need a medication that I can't breastfeed with or it is impossible for me to keep weight on-I will revaluate at that time.
My doctor adamantly doesn't want me to breastfeed and I disagree. I don't think I should have to make that decision to not do it so early. Its the only subject we disagree on I think.

My Fev1 was at about 75 before and during my pregnancy. I was able to breastfeed (although I am pancreatic sufficient and I have more than enough weight on me!). Now my FEV1 is up to about 84% from walking and the new treatments I have started on (Vest, Advair, pulmozyme, HS).

Pre-pregnancy: 83%

During pregnancy: Remained steady. Was 76% near the end of my pregnancy. I felt fine. Dr. said that if they tracked healthy women without lung disease their PFT would drop during pregnancy as well.

After pregnancy: Last month was 80%. I started HS last month so I am eager to see what my PFT's are at my next check up in Feb.

I was able to breastfeed. We breastfed for 12 months. Once I started offering my daughter whole milk she lost interest in breastfeeding and weaned herself. I would have breastfed for longer but Alexa was just not that into it.
