    Culturing staphyloccocus aureus

My daughter has cultured Staphyloccocus Aureus (sp) two times now. It isn't MRSA, but what does it really mean? Our Pulmonologist said they don't usually treat it with antibiotics, because it could make it worse. Gee, that's reassuring. Any advice, same experience? Elise

    Can't get daughter off bottle

I meant "in the minority" with the rest of the world, not the CF community who gets it! Just wanted to clarify, since everyone was on the same page anyway. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Elise

    Can't get daughter off bottle

My daughter is three and still uses a bottle for her milk/carnation/duocal. It's the only way she'll chug it, otherwise she just sips and never finishes. I figure it's not that big of a deal, and we have enough on our plate. So we give milk in the bottle and juice/water in sippy cups or regular...

    do you have pets?

We have a dog and two cats. Our Pulmonologist didn't blink when I told her about them. She said that having pets is fine for CF'ers. I've also read that kids who grow up with pets have fewer allergies later in life. I sure hope that's true! -Elise

    GI Docs at CF Clinics

Our CF Clinic has a Nutritionist, but not a GI doc. This drives me bonkers, especially because my kiddo is incredibly pancreatic insufficient and most of her issues have been digestive. The GI doc we were referred to (I heard from another CF mom) is not THAT familiar with CF. So what's the...
