    sleeping position

It probably depends on how the CF is effecting him. My oldest had no issues with any position, but my youngest had such problems with her nose (huge adenoids + thick mucus) that she slept in her high chair (which inclined back) for at least the first six months of her life.

    sick again

I guess the way we tend to think of it is this: because CF tends to create sticky mucus, any time you child does get an illness that settles into the lungs (the same bugs that all other kids can get), it is going to be much harder for them to clear that goo out. Then, because there is that...

    False Negative Sweat Tests?

My girls had the same profile as your daughter, and when we did the sweat test, one passed (11) and one was borderline (49). A full Ambry genetic test (you want the FULL Ambry) showed they BOTH had atypical CF. The genetic results were identical in both girls. Yet if my older child had not...

    Nebulizers v.s. inhalers?

Pam, thanks for the link to Julie's post. That is very reassuring to see. Rebecca, you sound just like us! We shifted gradually, and until recently, we always had a stock of the neb meds to fall back on on the first sign of colds. But we are at the point where we have used that stock up, and...

    PDF files from CFRI conference

Julie, this is great! Thanks. Someone actually directed me to this link because these materials answer my question (about nebs v.s. inhalers). There are a few of these presentations that are very timely for us. Thanks again.
