    multiple transplant centers

absolutely -- double listing is fairly common. but it should be with a hospital in another UNOS region from your original center, otherwise there's not much point. a number of people at my center are cross-listed at Penn, and i know someone cross-listed at a boston hospital and cleveland clinic...

Had steaks of blood in sputum: Can I do albuterol treatment?

yep. albuterol shouldn't be a huge problem. if you notice it irritating your airways, stop it as well. typically i don't stop treatments for streaking (only for full-on blood, like a mouthful or more), but other docs might have different approaches. mine tells me to stop pulmo and the vest for...

    interesting article

well, this is an opinion piece -- not fact. she's selectively quoting. for example, of course parents who receive genetic counseling re: disease like CF are told to consider "resources." imagine bringing a CF child into a family with little-to-no income, no insurance, etc. if the family doesn't...

    Amy (savefarris)

i *think* she's alright. she posted on cf2 not all that long ago about enzymes, but only in the chatbox. it makes me think she's just taking a break from the forums/blog scene right now. amy, if you do read this know we love you! hope you're doing well!

    alternative to Gatorade?

Interesting about the teeth (and gross). I've always used the lower sugar version of gatorade and added salt (doctor's recommendation). I'm not sure that vitamin water actually has less sugar anyway, does it -- unless of course you're buying the low-sugar vitamin water? Okay, this isn't so much...
