    WWYD

If working w/ the teacher w/ CF is going to keep her doing gymnastics then as long as both of them are aware of the need to take care of each other it seems like a good thing. It would be worse to have her quit doing gymnastics than to have her around the teacher IF both of them are healthy...

Coughing judgment at the gym (or any public space)

Over the years I have gotten in the habit of telling people that I don't really care about that I have a bad case of asthma. It generally solves the problem and, as somebody else said, people don't generally have any idea what CF really is. Lately this country is getting more like Japan; I think...

    High Calorie Snacks

not exactly the best nutrition in the world but if you mix instant pudding w/ whole milk and a package of scandi shake (vanilla) you get about 1140 calories all at once.

    Hearing Loss

Boy o boy. I don't know exactly how to say what I'm thinking. Maybe because I'm not sure what that really is. I am 56 w/ CF myself but have not had to go through so much of the things that many of you do. It is such a shame that the only answers that anyone can come up w/ are doing so much...

PFT Goal's thread. Trying to achieve 60% FEV1.

*NEW* PFT Goal's thread. Trying to hit that magic 60% FEV1. Hang in there Man. Seems like you are doing a lot of things right and doing a lot of research while still being open to try new things. Whatever happens, I believe that that is the only way to live, and I mean that more ways than one.I...

    azithromycin

I don't know if everyone but me already knew this but will put it out there anyway, it might help somebody. I recently went to see the doctor and was asking about trying to get a recent flair up under control. We decided to go to a daily dose of Axuthromycin when she explained to me that...

I'd love to get your expert opinions :)

If you don't have a problem you can never know what it's like to have it. That is true for any problem. With cf there are so many different levels of disability that what is right for one level would be wrong for another. I would say that the most people have done to help me (I am 55 yr old...
